Alex Cruz was born in 1976 in Tulua Colombia. Since his childhood, Alex demonstrated his talent to make music. In addition to his musical learning, which was complemented during three years at The Conservatory "The Scale" :where he was heavily influenced by masters of colombian tropical music as Carlos Bocanegra, Gerardo (rellena) Rivera and Alvaro Ospina. In June of 1996 starts his musical adventure, playing percusion and bass, in recognized latin bands of Colombia. La Gran Sociedad, Carlos Bocanegra y su Orquesta, Sonora Melao, the fifth best trio of Colombia "Trio Los Del Recuerdo", In 2001 Alex arrives to Calgary AB, Canada where becomes part of The International bands where once again his style makes difference.
